The Drop: April

The 2023 G365 Spring Season finished with a bang as most of the teams vying for the G365 #1 ranking competed at the G365 Championship event on the first weekend of April.  Seven of the eight teams that took home the G365 Gold Division championship ended the season as the top ranked teams in their grade level.

2023 Spring Season G365 Top Ranked Teams:

  • 8u #1 PHX Nomads: The Nomads had messaged us that they wanted all the 8u “smoke” and we challenged them to play the best at the G365 Championship Event.  The Nomads proved that they were up to the challenge and more by going 4-0 in the G365 Championship Event.  They defeated prior #1 in Vegas Torch and defeated #2 Team Arsenal 46-37 in the Championship game.
  • 9u #1 Inglewood Guard Dawgs:  The Guard Dawgs 9u are now Back-to-Back G365 Season Champs (Fall 2022, Spring 2023) after going 5-0 and winning the G365 Event.  The only question that remains is if the Guard Dawgs can make it a Three-Peat by winning the G365 Summer season.
  • 10u #1 Inglewood Guard Dawgs: Just like their 9u team, the 10u team is seeking a Inglewood Three-Peat this Summer season.  The Guard Dawgs proved to be the Big Dawgs at the G365 Championship event by defeating the top ranked team going into the event, Team Arsenal,  in the championship game.
  • 11u #1 Lakeshow Elite: Going into the G365 Championship Event, everybody questioned their #2 ranking.  After the event, everyone was right to question their ranking in that they deserved the #1 ranking and not the #2 ranking.  The Lakeshow Elite team had an impressive showing as they went 4-1 and avenged their only loss in the championship game by defeating #2 AVAC Komplex Sports in an OT thriller.  It’s worth noting that AVAC Komplex Sports also had an impressive run as they sent home nationally ranked JL3 team from Texas home in the Semis.
  • 12u #1 SE Supreme: The Arizona based team went 5-0 at the G365 Championship event and took home the title over an impressive 16 team division list.
  • 13u #1 Port City: Port City went 4-1 and took home the title at the G365 Championship Event title after defeating Bakersfield TTP in the Championship game.  The Stockton (NorCal) based team impressed by earning their Championship over a field that included #1 Oakland Soldiers, NDALAB (Missouri), Sky Riders (AZ), IE Sixers (SoCal), and YBA Aftermath (NorCal).
  • 14u: #1 Gamepoint National: The San Diego based Gamepoint National team earned their #1 ranking by taking the G365 MLK Championship where they went 5-0 and defeated teams from Oregon, Stockton (CA), Arizona, and Southern California.  The Gamepoint National team will now move ahead into the Spring and Summer season competing at the Stage Circuit events.

The G365 2023 Spring Season started with the G365 MLK Event in Southern California and includes all G365 Events through the Championship Event.

The G365 2023 Summer Season will start w/ The Battle in SoCal and the NorCal Clash on April 15-16.  The season will include all G365 events through the Finals event in late June.  Some of the featured events include the Evergreen Invitational in Seattle, WA (May 6-7), Memorial Day Challenge in Oakland, CA (May 27-29), and the Dance in the Desert in Phoenix, AZ (June 3-4) and concludes with the Finals Event in Anaheim, CA (June 24-25).
