PREVIEW: G365 Southwest Invitational

PHOENIX, AZ – Grassroots 365 (formerly WCE25) will host the top teams from across Arizona, as well as a few from California (Compton Magic) and New Mexico (New Mexico Dogs) this weekend at KROC. Arizona has historically produced nationally ranked and competitive club teams like AZ Monsoon, I10 Celtics, Phx Phamily, I-10 Celtics, Ventura Vipers, and Team Bibby. This year’s inaugural event will feature several G365 West Coast ranked teams, including AZ Powerhouse, AZ Storm, AZ Power, Give N Go Hoops, and the Ventura Vipers as part of a 32 team field across multiple grade levels. The 8th Grade division will feature nine teams led by West Coast #9 New Mexico Dogs and  #11 Compton Magic, as well as Southwest Region #5, Give N Go Hoops and #7 AZ Wolves. It will be interesting to see the match-up between Top 25 Players to Watch – Ja’Kwon Hill (NM Dogs) and Ramel Lloyd (Compton Magic). The rest of the field includes AZ Iron, Divinity, J.U.B., Tucson Spartans and the Ventura Vipers 2022 Black.


The 7th Grade Division will feature seven teams led by #7 Give N Go and Southwest Region #8, Surprise Attack Bobcats. The rest of the field includes AZ Wolves, Give N Go Hoops, J.U.B., Legion of Hoops, UH Elite, and Young Americans.


The 6th Grade Division will feature eight teams led by #5 AZ Storm, Southwest Region #3, AZ Divinity, and Southwest Region #5, AZ Powerhouse. The rest of the field includes Blue Chip Nation Elite Blue, Hard 2 Handle, Powerhouse, Legends, and Tucson Spartans.


The 5th Grade Division will feature four teams led by Southwest Region #5, Legion of Hoops, and #9 AZ Hustle Elite. The AZ Wolves and Team Sky Rider round out the field.


The 4th Grade Division will feature four teams: Desert Kings Basketball, Phx is Rising, Team Sky Rider.
