MVP Sa Jean Alford Leads NorCal Tarheels 14U to G365 NorCal Top 10

Martinez, CA – The NorCal Tarheels went to into G365 NorCal as one of those under the radar 14U teams that flourish as they mature at the high school level. Fortunately for us, we were able to get a glimpse of the future as the team went 4-1 and avenged their pool play loss in the championship game against G365 NorCal #9, Bay City. Their 14U roster includes, AJ Singh, Callahan Hanson, Dionte Jackson, Elijay Mobley, Elliot Mobley, Isiah Cruz, Jay Clifton, Sa Jean Alford, and Xavion Bell.

Sa Jean Alford earned 8th grade MVP honors. The 8th grade All-Tournament team also included Bay City’s Leon Mills, Adrian Calderon (Island Ride), Taevon Mitchell (Team Select) and Zachy Chawwa (Infinite Training).

G365’s #1 7th grade team, Hott City, defeated G365 #7, Matt Barnes Elite, 59-50 in the Gold championship game. In the Silver division, Bay Area Mambas Black defeated MBE Elite Red, 49-44 in the championship game. Antonio Arenas (Hott City) earned MVP honors. The All-Tournament team also included Phoenix Rose (Matt Barnes Elite), Jaedan Bland (Matt Barnes Elite), Theo Sully-McLaughlin (Vision Elite) and Arvin Chabon (Bay Area Mambas).

In the 6th grade division, G365 #18, San Francisco Fire Black defeated Jus B Tuf 7 in the final. San Francisco Fire’s, Raymond Whitley, earned 6th Grade MVP honors. Preston White (OJBA), Malakai Wise (Bay Area Power), Will Dennie III (MBE Black), and Alex Zenn-Dash (Jus B Tuff) rounded out the 6th grade All-Tournament team.

In the 5th grade division, G365 #1, SF Soldiers defeated G365 NorCal #6, Jr Sac Kings, 66-62. SF Soldiers, Breydan Worth, earned 5th grade MVP honors. Carey Martin Jr (Jr Sac Kings), Jerry Williams (Palo Alto Flight), Max Haberlach (Sillicon Valley Swish), and Nicholas Mego (San Jose Spartans) rounded out the 5th grade All-Tournament team.

In the 4th grade division, G365 #6, Sacramento Soldiers defeated G365 NorCal #10, Palo Alto Flight, 42-25. Sacramento Soldiers, Andre Rabb Patterson, earned 4th grade MVP honors. Micah Huang (Bay City), Silas Lotito (Sacramento Soldiers), Baron Sabir (Cross Over), and Adam Houssami (Palo Alto Flight) rounded out the 4th grade All-Tournament team.
