G365 Top Top Teams of Summer 2024

Summer 2024 brought an exciting stream of events in the Orange County youth basketball tournament scene. From the Extravaganza to Summer Hustle, teams traveled from out of state and even internationally to participate in the summer’s highest showcase of talent.

As the summer basketball season wraps up, Grassroots 365 released its August rankings, highlighting the best teams of the summer. Here’s a look at how the rankings shaped up across different age groups:

14U: 99OVR (Texas)

Ending the summer on a high note, 99OVR from Texas claims the top spot in the 14u division. Their impressive performance included an undefeated run at the G365 Finals, where they went 6-0. They also clinched victory at the Adidas JR SSB in South Carolina. The team was led by Finals MVP Marcus Boyd, and Xavier Young, who earned a spot on the Finals All-Tournament Team.

13U: IE Sixers (Southern California)

Southern California’s IE Sixers secured the #1 ranking in the 13u division with a standout s. Their notable victory over the #2 team, Vegas Elite, at the G365 Championship event was a highlight of their season. Tariq Johnson and Saigier Smith were instrumental in their success, demonstrating why they are considered among the top players in their division.

12U: Team Arsenal (Northern California)

Team Arsenal, hailing from Northern California, ended the summer as the top-ranked team in the 12u division. Their season competing up in the 13u division for most of the year. Their efforts culminated in a championship win at the G365 Championship event. Key players Kalani Abreu, a Ballislife/EBC Top 5 Player, and Kameron Potts led the charge for Team Arsenal.

11U: Vegas Elite (Nevada)

In the 11u division, Vegas Elite from Nevada emerged as the top team. They showcased their dominance with a perfect 6-0 record at the G365 Finals, culminating in a victory over #6 Dubs Elite from Arizona in the championship game. Malcom Pegues earned the Finals MVP title.

10U: Team 94FeetofGame (Southern California)

Southern California’s Team 94FeetofGame rose to prominence in the 10u division, finishing the summer as the top-ranked team. Their journey included a flawless 6-0 record at the G365 Finals, where they defeated #1 Vegas Elite from Arizona in the championship game. Josiah Price, who was named both the Finals MVP and EBC/Ballislife MVP, was a key player in their success.

9U: Young Dons (Southern California)

The Young Dons were the top team in the 9u division. They capped off their impressive summer with a 4-0 record at the G365 Finals, defeating the #3 Rose City Rebels from Oregon in the championship game. Kaijin Nelson was named Finals MVP, with Zain Agah earning a spot on the Finals All-Tournament Team.

8u: IE Sixers (Southern California)

The IE Sixers demonstrated their dominance early by finishing the season in the 9u division, despite being an 8u team. Their exceptional play was highlighted by Elijah Byrd, who was recognized as a Finals All-Tournament player.
