A Look at 10 Years of the Championship

The Grassroots 365 Championship Event, branded as #G365Championship, is the marquee Grassroots 365 and West Coast National event played each spring in Southern California.  This year’s event, taking place on April 1-2, will mark the 10th anniversary of the event and is expected to draw over 350 youth and HS teams from across the nation.

The event has a long successful history of being one of the first events to bring together some of the top youth teams in the country and provide them with social media coverage and exposure.  Teams from Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Texas, New Mexico, Hawaii, Montana, Florida, Idaho, Washington, Nevada, Utah, and throughout California have made the trek to compete in the event.

The event is also the first to fully incorporate and utilize its team rankings system to determine a Champion.  Past notable team champions have included Oakland Soldiers, Seattle Rotary, SF Rebels, Oakland Rebels, Sneakersteal, Vegas Elite, Squad, 360 Basketball, City Stars, OGP Kings, RC Bulls, Compton Magic, The Truth, AZ Storm, Team Bibby, AZ Monsoon, Rose City Rebels, Sacramento Yellow Jackets, MVP Flight, and West Coast All Stars.

As the event is about to host its 10-year anniversary, the work continues to drive innovation across everything that has made this event a success.  Over the past two years, Grassroots 365 has incorporated the Passport to simplify game day player verification and maximize player experience and exposure.  The Passport stores players bios, event performances with stats and awards and features event stat leaderboards, box scores, and a team page that displays its stat leaders and season records.  Additionally, with Open Gym Premier taking control of operating and managing the OGP Anaheim and OGP Ladera event host facilities, Grassroots 365 creates an unmatched customer and player experience at its event.
