2023 YBA wins the Jr. Kings Jr. NBA Global Championship Sacramento Qualifier

Sacramento, CA – The Jr. Kings and Open Gym Premier hosted the Jr. NBA’s Sacramento regional qualifier. The event featured some of the top ranked G365 club teams from the area.

The 8th grade YBA team was the top team going into the event and proved it by placing two of their teams in the championship. Guard, Jalen Newhouse earned MVP honors and was also named G365 player of the month. The 8th grade All-Tourney team included Omare Edwards (Capitol Elite), Sirod Winters (SportStrong Elite), Daniel Chigbu (YBA), and big man Michael Davis Jr. (Fresno Wildcats).

In the 7th grade division, Matt Barnes Elite Red defeated the Sacramento Titans for the championship. Guard, Andre Anderson was named 7th Grade MVP. EBC Bay Area top 5 performer, Ross Widemon (Stanco Stampede), was also named to the All-Tourney team.

In the 6th grade division, the NorCal Bulls took home the championship and will be joining the G365 NorCal top 10 list. The talented duo of Rashawn Inglemon and Craigus Thompson Jr. were named Co-MVPs.

In the 5th grade vision, YBA Elite defeated EDH Terminators. The YBA team will join the G365 NorCal top 10 when rankings are released later this month. Aiden Rollins was named MVP. Teammates, Michael Root and Josiah Andrews were also named to the All-Tourney team.

PackNation Wolfpack won the 4th grade over the G365 #5, Sacramento Yellow Jackets. The PackNation Wolfpack will receive consideration for the G365 top 25. Jameir Campbell earned MVP honors and teammate, Jaylen Wright joined him as part of the All-Tourney team.
