2023 G365 Pacific Northwest debut: Emerald City Classic

Grassroots 365 made its 2023-24 basketball season Pacific Northwest debut at Emerald City Classic this past weekend.  Over 60+ teams from Portland, Seattle, Yakima, Spokane, and Montana looked to impress on the road the G365 Championship event taking place on April 2024. The Championship will take place on April 6th to 7th in Open Gym Premier’s state of the art facilities in Orange County, California (Anaheim, Ladera Ranch, and Seal Beach). This signature event will feature the top youth basketball clubs in Orange County and beyond, it is an essential basketball event.

Top Performances:

10U:

o   World Class Renegades Black went 5-0 and will make its G365 Top 25 debut.

o   MVP: Kyrie Reid (11.7 PPG, 2.3 RPG)

11U:

o   World Class Renegades Black went undefeated (4-0) and will crack the G365 Top 25 in the upcoming rankings release.

o   MVP: Kenji Hunter-Seaton (16.8 PPG, 9 RPG)

12U Gold:

o   I-5 Elite defeated #15 509 Ballers twice on their way to a Championship and earned a Top 10 ranking.

o   MVP: Ray Peterson Jr. (16.3 PPG, 4 RPG, 3.5 APG)

12U Silver:

o   Champion: A1 Elite (4-0)

o   MVP: Jayden Saavedra (18 PPG)

13U:

o   World Class Renegades Black went undefeated (4-0) and is expected to be in the Top 7 in the upcoming rankings.

o   MVP: Joaquin Wiley (11.6 PPG, 3.6 RPG)

14U:

o   Austin City Select (5-0) defeated #16 NW Prodigy 57-54 in a highly contested championship game.  Both teams bested the 14 team bracket.

o   MVP: Heaven Chea (21.3 PPG)

Frosh/Soph:

o   Champion: Kent Elite (4-0)

o   MVP: Brent Simmons (20.8 PPG, 6.8 RPG, 3 SPG)

Varsity:

o   Champion: Bellevue HS (5-0)

o   MVP: Jimmie Haywood (13.8 PPG, 3 RPG)
